UDMR's Hunor: I will suggest we support investiture of new gov't

UDMR [the Hungarian Democratic Union of Romania] Chairman, Kelemen Hunor, on Monday evening said that he sees no reason why the Union shouldn't vote for the investiture of the 4th Ponta Cabinet, although this does not mean the political party he leads will continue to vote for all of the government's projects.

'This is just the vote for approving the government, it does not mean that we will back all this government's projects from now on, we have no intention whatsoever to seal any parliamentary agreement to back its every action. I for one hope that the governing programme won't change, for we voted for that too. As far as I could notice, the opposition is in no hurry to take charge, no one wants to rule right now and, of course, after we make our own analysis in the parliamentary groups, we will give you a final answer on this matter, but, as I told you, as far as I am concerned I think that this government should continue for now. Of course, I have no idea with what ministers and with what parties it will continue, for I only know what UDMR plans are, but, at least, at this point, I don't see why we shouldn't vote for this 4th Ponta Cabinet, or whatever its name will be, investiture. However, we will give you a definitive answer in the following days,' Kelemen Hunor stated after a meeting with Victor Ponta at the Parliament Palace.
