Conference on topic of municipal bonds market, organised on Thursday by the Stock Exchange

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) is organizing, on Thursday, a specialty conference with the topic of "Perspectives for the development of the municipal bonds market at the Bucharest Stock Market".

According to the organizers, the purpose of the event is to identify sustainable solutions to relaunch the municipal bonds market of Romania, among the guests of the event being: Ludwik Sobolewski — BVB's CEO, Misu Negritoiu — chairman of the Financial Oversight Authority (ASF) and Ana Maria Mihaescu — head of mission, International Finance Corporation, World Bank Group.

The topics that will be approached during the conference focus on relaunching the municipal bond issues in Romania, the appetite of pension and investment funds for such instruments of financing, the existing legal limitations at the level of possible investors and issuers, the importance of a credit rating in the process of financing on the stock market, the credibility bonus and the guarantee brought by the involvement of a foreign financier in the financing process, international good practices in matters of financing the public sector through capital market instruments, and the evolution of municipal bonds in Romania.
