Serbia's loses second match women's handball EC

OSIJEK - Serbia lost to France 27-16 (11-3) in the second round of Group D of the women's handball European championships in Osijek, Croatia, on Wednesday.

This was Serbia's second defeat at this event, after losing to Montenegro 22-19 in the first round.

The finalists of the most recent world championships performed poorly on offence once again, as indicated by the fact that they scoredtheir first goal in the 9th minute of the match against France, and only three goals by half-time.

France took advantage of this and sailed through to victory, with their biggest lead being 12 points.

Serbia will next face Slovakia on Friday in a match that will probably decide who goes to the nexxt stage along with Montenegro and France, but the winner of the match will take no points over to that next stage.
