Necessity of support for region's states in managing Syrian refugees' situation (Ciamba at FAC)

Secretary of state for European Affairs with the Romanian Foreign Affairs Ministry (MAE), George Ciamba on Monday told the Foreign Affairs Council (FAC) reunion in Brussels that it is necessary a consistent support for Turkey and Lebanon in particular in managing the Syrian refugees' situation.

MAE shows in a release sent to AGERPRES on Monday evening that the FAC reunion's agenda included: the situation in Syria, Iraq and Libya, the approach to the extension process in the Western Balkans with an accent on Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Ebola epidemic. Furthermore, the recent evolutions in Ukraine, from the perspective of preparing the next Monday first reunion of the EU-Ukraine Association Council and the visit by the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Federica Mogherini, to Kiev, on Tuesday, were also assessed.
