Prime Minister Victor Ponta on Tuesday in a speech delivered at the China-Central and Eastern Europe Summit in Belgrade, Serbia, suggested the organization in Bucharest of a center for dialogue and cooperation on energy.

"We should all be worried about what it is happening in our region as regards energy and we should use all opportunities in this format. I have already referred to the important energy projects with the Chinese companies. .... I would be very happy if we can organize a center for dialogue and cooperation on energy and I will recommend Bucharest for the host city. It is important to have this dialogue and to find solutions together," Ponta said at the China — Central and Eastern Europe Summit held in Belgrade.

Ponta also said that Romania has "an important energy project", developed with the Chinese partners, but also infrastructure projects that need to be implemented.

"I want to point out the fact that, and I'm referring to Romania, there is infrastructure, infrastructure projects, but our projects are developing more slowly than we had wanted. There are also bureaucratic rules, but it is not just Romania's fault. I think it's our duty to find new solutions to make the projects work and be implemented," said Ponta.AGERPRES
