Pusic: Croatia will continue helping Serbia on EU path

BELGRADE - Croatian First Deputy Prime Minister Vesna Pusic stated on Wednesday that Croatia has assisted Serbia on its EU path so far and will continue to do so in the time to come.

It is in our interest for Serbia to complete the reforms that lead to accession as soon as possible, Pusic told Radio Television of Vojvodina and added that the criteria has to be high, i.e. the same as was the case with her country's accession. It is in Croatia's interest for the region to be stable and European, Pusic said.

She noted that Croatia will behave toward Serbia just like any other EU member country, with a better knowledge of Serbia as a neighbouring country as the only point of difference.

Pusic took part in the two-day summit between China and 16 Central and Eastern European countries in Belgrade.
