ANM issues nationwide bitter freeze warning effective Dec. 30 - Jan. 2

The National Weather Forecaster (ANM) issued on Tuesday a nationwide bitter freeze warning effective until the morning of January 2.

According to the forecast, between December 30, 2014, 20:00 hrs and January 2, 2015, 10:00 hrs, arctic temperatures will be gripping the country, especially at nights and in the morning.

Temperature lows will frequently plunge below—15 degrees Celsius and in spots even below—25 degrees Celsius, while daytime highs will be mostly negative and will fall generally between—10 and zero degrees Celsius.

The meteorologists also said that Tuesday night (December 30/31), and on Wednesday (December 31), the wind will temporarily pick up in southern Moldavia, the eastern half of Muntenia and Dobrogea, gusting at speeds of 40 — 50 km / h and scattering the deposited snow. AGERPRES
