Vucic sends telegram of condolences to Indonesian president

BELGRADE - Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic sent a telegram of condolences to Indonesian President Joko Widodo over the tragic plane crash, the Serbian government Office for cooperation with the media released.

We are deeply saddened by the news of the recent plane crash which claimed lives of a number of Indonesian citizens, Vucic said in the telegram and added that the tragic death of so many innocent people is a loss for both Indonesia and the entire humanity, Vucic said.

In these truly distressing moments for the people of Indonesia and the victims' families, you and your leadership need to be stronger than ever so as to comfort the grieving families, Vucic said in the telegram sent to Widodo. On behalf of the government and people of the Republic of Serbia, Vucic asked the Indonesian president to express deepest condolences of Serbia to the families that lost their loved ones.
