12 tons of humanitarian aid arrives in Serb enclaves

BELGRADE - The humanitarian organization Solidarity for Kosovo has shipped 12 tons of humanitarian aid from France to Kosovo-Metohija, which was then distributed to citizens in Serb enclaves.

The organization's traditional Christmas convoy arrived in the Serb enclaves after eight days of waiting for no reason and explanation at the Kosovo administrative checkpoint, the organization released in a statement.

Eight volunteers of this organization have delivered help to the most vulnerable families in eastern and central Kosovo, travelling from one village to the other, and from one house to the other, thus reaching everyone in desperate need of help, and the convoy was accompanied by the organization's founder, Arnaud Gouillon, the statement reads.

Our volunteers have not forgotten the Serbian-French friendship, and what motivates them to come to Kosovo-Metohija are the photos of impoverished families that are struggling for survival in inhuman conditions in enclaves, Gouillon said.

The organization "Solidarity for Kosovo" has sent a total of 35 convoys of humanitarian aid to Kosovo-Metohija since its establishment in France in 2014.
