Serbian companies to be featured in UAE on January 25-30
ABU DHABI - The first Serbian business investment forum in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) will be held from January 25 through 30 with the aim to familiarise Serbian companies with the rules and potentials of the UAE market.
The forum will take place in five emirates (Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Fujairah, Ras al Khaimah and Sharjah), says Mirjana Radenovic - Ratkovic, director of Serbian Business Council UAE.
Fifteen companies, organisations and local self-government authorities have applied so far, and the Serbian delegation will have more than 30 members.
Radenovic-Ratkovic said that the forum will assess in detail the business and investment opportunities and conditions in each of the emirates through conference presentations by experts and representatives of chambers of commerce.
In addition to conferences, the forum will include B2B meetings and "networking cocktails" that will give participants an opportunity to present their companies in direct contact with potential partners, Radenovic - Ratkovic told Tanjug.
The forum will also establish ties between Serbian and UAE universities through an exchange of study programmes.
"Through tourism promotion we will round off the story about our country's potential and, hopefully, give the best possible account of ourselves. Our ultimate goal is to create the conditions to increase the volume of trade between the two countries and contribute to Serbia on its path towards economic stability," Radenovic-Ratkovic said.
The forum is backed by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia and the Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry.
