Civil servant assessment bill put to public consultation

A new bill on the assessment of civil servants was put to public consultation on Tuesday.

The review period is due to last until February 10.

The new evaluation process will form the basis for future hiring, salary and transfer decisions.

Administrative Reform Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis (photo) said he was making the bill public despite the Greek elections being just days away as he had promised that he would do so.

?The new system is an integral part of the reform package that we have promoted and implemented over the last 18 months at the ministry,? he said.
