Ivanovic injures toe, will not compete at Fed Cup

BELGRADE - Best-ranking Serbian tennis player Ana Ivanovic will not be part of the national tennis team in the Fed Cup Europe/Africa Zone Group in Budapest because she injured her toe and needs to rest.

After the early elimination at the Australian Open, there was a chance that Ivanovic may still help the Serbian team out, but her team confirmed for the Belgrade-based daily Vecernje Novosti that this is now no longer an option.

"Ana has injured her toe and needs to rest. She will definitely not compete at FED Cup. Her next tournament will be the Dubai Tennis Championships, due February 15 to 21", representatives of Ivanovic's team confirmed for Vecernje Novosti.
