Serbian, UAE companies establish cooperation

BELGRADE/ABU DHABI - The first Serbian business investment forum that ended on Friday in the United Arab Emirates provided an opportunity for Serbian businessmen to make connections with the UAE-based companies.

During the five-day forum, the Serbian delegation learned more about the terms and conditions of doing business in the UAE and presented the potentials of Serbia's tourism and health care sector, said the forum organizer, Serbian Business Council UAE.

The forum was held in five Emirates (Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Fujairah, Ras al-Khaimah, and Sharjah), with the support of the Embassy of Serbia and the Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry.

The hosts were informed about projects of the city of Cacak, central Serbia, the Province of Vojvodina, Vojvodina Metal Cluster and Agroprodukt Becej.

Officials of Extreme Intimo, Zlatiborac, Pestan, FSD, Bexel Consulting, Dima Company, FSD presented their companies to the UAE market.

"This marks the beginning of direct cooperation between the Serbian and the UAE businesses. The Tourism Organization of Serbia (TOS) organized video presentations in each of the five cities to present the culture and natural resources of Serbia to potential investors in the UAE," the release states.

As a result of this visit, the TOS made preliminary arrangements with tourist organizations in the UAE interested in making Serbia part of their offer.

Serbian Business Council in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) was founded in January 2014 in Abu Dhabi, with support from the Serbian Embassy to the UAE, with an aim to create and improve business opportunities and investments between the two countries.
