Belgrade among 10 'must-see' destinations in 2015

DUBLIN - Belgrade is one of the 10 holiday spots to visit in 2015, as recommended by The Irish Times.

"Belgrade has reaffirmed itself as the major Balkan metropolis," Irish Times Travel writer Fionn Davenport says, noting specifically the city's Kalemegdan Citadel and its beauty that "spreads outward". More than anything the 'White City' is a place to experience, he says.

Besides the Serbian capital, the recommended travel destinations include Namibia, Norway, Montenegro, Corsica, Nicaragua, Oman, Tasmania, Turkey and Washington DC.
