Day of mourning for Serbian workers killed in Siberia

BELGRADE -- A national day of mourning is observed in Serbia on Thursday for six Serbian workers who died in a fire in the Russian peninsula of Yamal.

The government of Serbia declared a day of mourning following the tragic accident on a Siberian oil station construction site on Sunday, February 8.

National flags on government buildings and at sporting and cultural events will be flown at half-mast and a minute's silence will be observed to honor the victims.

The broadcast and print media must adapt their content and instead of comedy, entertainment, folklore and other shows with pop and folk music, broadcast music and programs suitable for a day of mourning.
