Turkish helicopter conducts flyover of Kos – military issues statement

A Turkish military helicopter was tracked and spotted flying over the eastern Aegean island of Kos on Thursday, reportedly at an altitude of less than 1,000 feet.

The aircraft entered the Athens FIR at 09.08 GMT, while a minute later it was over the eastern portion of the island, exiting the Athens FIR at 09.13 GMT.

According to a general staff press release, the helicopter was identified, as foreseen by international aviation rules.
