Vucic: Time of political slandering is behind us

SARAJEVO - Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic said Monday that relations between Belgrade and Sarajevo were good and he expected them to continue improving, adding that it was clear that relations were getting better throughout the region.

Speaking about his Sunday visit to Zagreb, Vucic said for the Sarajevo-based daily Dnevni Avaz that his coming to the inauguration of Croatia's first women president, Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic, was indicative of a desire to improve regional cooperation, stre?ing that the times of political slandering were now behind us.

It is good. I do not see any big i?ues except that whi? has already been around for years and decades. I see a new momentum for the future of the region, said Vucic, the Fena news agency reports.

Asked what he thought about cooperation between Bosnia-Herzegovina (BiH) and Serbia in resolving outstanding i?ues, Vucic said things could get better there.

We have a good relationship and I think that these relations will get even better, he said, adding that he had met with all three members of the Presidency of BiH - ?airman Mladen Ivanic, Dragan Covic and Bakir Izetbegovic - during the inauguration ceremony in Zagreb.

Vucic said he hoped that he would soon hold a meeting with the Bosniak member of the Presidency (Izetbegovic), as they had not met for nine months now, whi? was for a long time.
