Govt adopts decree on incentives to agriculture, tourism

BELGRADE - The government of the Republic of Serbia adopted at its Thursday session the decree on distribution of incentives to agriculture and rural development in 2015.

A total of RSD 24.5 billion worth of funds were allocated as direct incentives to agriculture, rural development measures, credit support and special incentives to agriculture in 2015, which should bring about an increase of production and overall economic growth.

The incentives will ensure development of agribusiness as a branch that directly and indirectly employs almost one quarter of employed workforce in Serbia, the Serbian government Office for cooperation with the media released.

The government also adopted the programme of distribution and usage of subsidies and grants for tourism development projects in Serbia in 2015.

A total of RSD 587 million will be allocated from the republic budget for improvement of tourism in Serbia, states the release.
