Joint session of Serbian and Slovenian cabinets

BELGRADE -- The governments of Serbia and Slovenia will hold a joint session in Ljubljana on Friday, the Serbian government has announced.

After the session, Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic will confer with Slovenian President Borut Pahor.

Before the joint session, Vucic will have a separate meeting with his Slovenian counterpart Miro Cerar, and meetings of the competent ministries and the secretaries general will also be staged at the same time.

Several agreements should be signed and the two prime ministers should address a news conference.

In the course of the day, Vucic will meet with President of the Slovenian National Assembly Milan Brglez.

A Slovenian-Serbian business conference should also be held in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia.

On the second day of the visit, Vucic will attend the 51st Golden Fox FIS ski world cup for women in Pohorje as the guest of his Slovenian colleague Cerar.

Ahead of the visit to Ljubljana, Vucic stated that Serbia wishes to pursue its cooperation and develop good relations with Slovenia. He noted that Slovenia is a friendly country and added that it is important to Serbia both because of the European integration process and as a regional partner.

Charge d'affaires of the Slovenian Embassy in Belgrade Mateja Norcic Stamcar told Tanjug that Slovenia also regards Serbia an important political and economic partner.

She noted that the business forum would gather representatives of over 140 Slovenian and Serbian companies that conduct business in the energy, IT, construction and tourism sectors and added that the cooperation on third markets will be the main topic of...
