Nenad Dukic new president of FEDEORA

BELGRADE- Serbian film critic Nenad Dukic has been elected president of the Federation of Film Critics of Europe and the Mediterranean (FEDEORA), Digimedia PR Aleksandar Pavlic said on Friday.

The London-based FEDEORA was established four years ago, and brings together over 70 film critics from European and Mediterranean countries.

Dukic was one of the founders of this federation of film critics, and was named president at its electoral assembly during the International Film Festival in Berlin, which ended on February 15.

Dukic was vice-president of the Munich-based International Federation of Film Critics (FIPRESCI), and president of the Yugoslav and then Serbian section of FIPRESCI. His predecessor at the position of FEDEORA president was British film critic Ronald Bergan.

Dukic is a long-term film critic with Radio Belgrade, film correspondent for the BBC, Radio Berlin and American weekly Hollywood Reporter, as well as art director of Belgrade's FEST.

Since 2011, he has been art director of the International Film Festival in Bratislava, and three years ago he became a member of the European Film Academy.

Dukic has been president or a member of the jury at the world's leading film festivals- in Cannes, Berlin, Venice, San Sebastian, Toronto, Montreal, Karlovy Vary, and he gave lectures at William Paterson University in New York and George Mason University in Washington.
