Vucic satisfied with results of visit to Slovenia

BLED - Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic wrapped up the two-day visit to Slovenia on Saturday, during which the meeting of the governments of the two countries and the business forum of around 300 entrepreneurs were held.

Vucic told Tanjug's reporter at Bled that he is satisfied with the results of the visit because Slovenia demonstrated full support for Serbia's EU integration, ministers agreed even closer cooperation, and entrepreneurs agreed on the need for the joint entry into third markets.
"I think we have achieved a good effect", Vucic said, adding that the hosts received the Serbian delegation in the best possible way.

Vucic noted that the officials of the two countries concluded that the Serbian market needs to open for investors from Slovenia and vice versa.

He pointed to the fact that the total annual volume of trade between the two countries is large, amounting to EUR 776.8 million, the joint objective being to ensure that it reaches one billion in the years to come.

Serbia's goal is to expand its market, and improve its import/export ratio with Slovenia, Vucic added.

He said that in previous years, Serbian companies could not secure bank guarantees and contemporary equipment.
"For that, they need additional capital and investment, and we discussed this with our Slovenian friends, and Serbia can secure new markets as it has free trade agreements," Vucic explained.

On Friday, before the meeting of the two governments, Vucic talked with Slovenian Prime Minister Miro Cerar, and then they opened the business forum together.

The Serbian prime minister also talked with Slovenian President Borut Pahor, Parliament Speaker Milan Brglez and Ljubljana Mayor Zoran Jankovic.
