Vulin: Kosovo-Metohija has much to offer in tourism

BELGRADE - Labor Minister Aleksandar Vulin called on Serbian citizens on Sunday to visit tourist destinations in Kosovo-Metohija (KiM) as this province has much to offer, and pointed to Mt. Brezovica and cultural, historical and religious monuments.

"Citizens from other parts of Serbia should come to the province, as the more we are present in Kosovo-Metohija every day, the more it will really be ours," Vulin said.

"We have much to offer, take pride in, and it depends solely on ourselves to what degree we will capitalize on that," Vulin told reporters after touring the KiM stand at the International Fair of Tourism in Belgrade.

Six Serb-majority municipalities in Kosovo-Metohija have presented their tourist offer at the fair, four of them located in northern Kosovo: Kosovska Mitrovica, Zubin Potok, Leposavic, Zvecan, then Gracanica in central Kosovo, and the largest Serb enclave in the south of the province -Strpce, which includes a part of the Mt. Sara National Park.

This year, an emphasis has been placed on the tourism offer of the ski center Brezovica in the municipality of Strpce, visits to cultural monuments and religious tourism. The offer also includes tours of some of the most beautiful Serb monasteries such as Visoki Decani, Gracanica and the Patriarchate of Pec.
