Hebei province business delegation visits Belgrade

BELGRADE- Joint production of elements for solar power plants, cooperation in the energy sector, electrical machinery production, IT industry, infrastructure and tourism are all areas of potential cooperation with the Chinese province of Hebei, said participants in a meeting held at the Belgrade Chamber of Commerce on Friday.
During their meeting with Belgrade Chamber of Commerce President Milivoje Miletic and Belgrade officials and businessmen, a business delegation of the Chinese province, comprised of representatives of the real sector and bankers, expressed great interest in developing cooperation with Serbia, the Belgrade Chamber of Commerce said in a release.
The guests from China called on their hosts to join Serbia's economic delegation taking part in an investment forum that will be held in the capital of the province on May 18 and in that way establish direct contacts with potential partners.
An Jing, director-general at the Department of Commerce and Investment Promotion Bureau in the Hebei province, pointed out that investment was a two-way process, adding that they wanted Serbian investors to come to China.
Presenting the Hebei province, which surrounds Beijing, has 73 million inhabitants and accounts for 10 percent of China's economy, An pointed in particular to the potential of the energy sector.
Hebei is one of the biggest producers of solar power plants and we are willing to move production of certain parts and elements for these plants to Serbia, said An.
We are willing and interested to cooperate and to offer investment locations and recommend companies doing sustainable business, said Belgrade Chamber of Commerce President Miletic.
