AGERPRES, AzerTAc sign memorandum of understanding on news exchange

Romania's National News Agency AGERPRES on Monday in Baku signed a memorandum of understanding on news exchange with the AzerTAc news agency of Azerbaijan.

Signing the document on behalf of AzerTAc was its General Director Aslan Aslanov, while AGERPRES General Director Alexandu Giboi signed on behalf of AGERPRES.

The object of the memorandum is to expand and further bilateral relations in the area of news exchange.

AGERPRES is a member of the European Alliance of News Agencies (EANA), the Alliance of Balkan News Agencies (ABNA) and the Black Sea Association of National News Agencies (BSANNA). In 2014, AGERPRES took over the chairmanship of the Association of Balkan News Agencies ? Southeast Europe (ABNA-SE), following a conference hosted by Sibiu City, December 8-11, 2013.

AzerTAc is a member of the Organization of Asia-Pacific News Agencies (OANA), the International Islamic News Agency (IINA), the Association of the National News Agencies of the Commonwealth of Independent States (ANIA), the Black Sea Association of National News Agencies (BSANNA), and of the Alliance of News Agencies (EANA).

AGERPRES has so far concluded partnership agreements with more than 40 news agencies from around the world. AGERPRES
