Bulgaria's Foreign Minister to Discuss Energy Cooperation with Slovakian Counterpart

Bulgaria's Foreign Minister Daniel Mitov arrived Thursday on an official visit to Slovakia at the invitation of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Miroslav Lajcak.

Mitov and Lajcak are to discuss the current state of bilateral relations and opportunities for expanding them in a number of different spheres with an emphasis on energy cooperation, according to the press office of Bulgaria's Foreign Ministry, as cited by dnevnik.bg.

The talks will focus on topics such as cooperation between Bulgaria and Slovakia within the "V4+" (The Visegrad Group) and topical issues on the European and international agenda.

During his visit to Slovakia, Mitov will meet with President Andrej Kiska, Prime Minister Robert Fico, and Jana La??áková, Deputy Chair of the National Council of the Slovak Republic and Chair of the Friendship group Bulgaria - Slovakia.
