Turkish drama star visits Jordan refugee camp

Turkish actress Tuba Büyüküstün, who is the most popular actress in the Arab world and last year became the good will ambassador of the United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF), went to Jordan to visit thousands of women and children who escaped from the civil war in bordering Syria and took shelter in the Zaatari refugee camp.

She said that children are affected most from these negative situations and they should be taken under protection.

In a recent poll conducted by the United Arab Emirates-based TV channel MBC, Büyüküstün was voted the most-loved actress in the Arab world. Turkish TV drama broadcast in the Arabic countries are effective in this result.

In the first two months of this year, Büyüküstün was the most talked-about Turkish actress thanks to her TV drama "Kara Para A?k" (Love Laundering).

Other Turkish actresses on the list included Fahriye Evcen, Bergüzar Korel, Hazal Kaya, Meryem Uzerli, Nurgül Ye?ilçay, Beren Saat, Birce Akalay, Öykü Karayel, Ceyda Düvenci.
