Ukrainian singer Ruslana, 2004 Eurovision winner, wishes Romania to win this year

Ruslana, the Ukrainian singer who won the 2004 Eurovision contest, attends Romania's national selection for this competition on Sunday, in Craiova (west of Bucharest); she declared she wishes Romania to win this year, as she was a fan of Romanian culture.

Ruslana will perform a 30-minute show after the contest.

Craiova Mayor Lia Olguta Vasilescu offered her, in a joint press conference, a jersey of the Universitatea Craiova soccer team and albums of cultural attractions of the city; she said she voted for Ruslana in the 2004 Eurovision. 'There are some tunes you immediately know are winners,' she explained.

During Ruslana's recital, the jury debates that will decide Romania's representative in the 2015 Eurovision will be monitored by a dedicated camera, assured Iuliana Marciuc, the producer of the event. The national TV station will broadcast the contest live on Sunday night. AGERPRES
