European Commissioner for Agriculture Phil Hogan visits Romania

The European Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development Phil Hogan pays an official visit to Romania on Thursday and Friday; he is to meet Prime Minister Victor Ponta, Agriculture Minister Daniel Constantin and the joint Committees for Agriculture of the Romanian Senate and Chamber of Deputies.

According to a release of the European Commission, Hogan will visit on Thursday two projects financed from European funds, alongside the European Commissioner for Regional Policy Corina Cretu and Agriculture Minister Daniel Constantin; specifically, the two objectives are the Suinprod Radic pig farm in the commune of Ratesti, Arges County (northwest of Bucharest) and a mixed fodder plant.

Hogan will participate in the conference "Fighting poverty and social exclusion in the rural areas of Romania. The contribution of the 2014-2020 National Programme for Rural Development," an event organized by the European Commission Representation in Romania. AGERPRES
