Dacic, Mitov: Joint interests, joint projects

BELGRADE - Serbia-Bulgaria relations are good, and there is mutual willingness to improve them even further, based on shared interests, and to continue working on joint infrastructure projects, the foreign ministers of Serbia and Bulgaria. Ivica Dacic and Daniel Mitov respectively, said on Friday.

At a joint press conference after the meeting, Dacic and Mitov said that the two countries will continue working on the projects, including Corridor 10, railways, gas interconnections and power system connections.

Mitov, who is on a visit to Belgrade in his capacity as Bulgaria's foreign minister, said that his country continues supporting Serbia along the path toward EU membership.

The issue of minorities was among the topics discussed.

"We should resolve all issues in a friendly spirit and ensure a better position of national minorities," said Dacic, and Mitov extended thanks to the Serbian government for its readiness to solve possible issues facing the Bulgarian minority.

Mitov said that he also discussed the issue of restitution with his Serbian counterpart.
