About 60 exhibitors to take part in Vinofest in Vrsac

VRSAC - Vinofest, an international wine fair that will be held for the 10th time in Vrsac, northeastern Serbia, on March 20-21, will bring together about 60 exhibitors displaying over 200 different wines and draw some 2,000 or more visitors.

In addition to domestic exhibitors, over the recent years, the fair saw wine presentations by wineries from Hungary, Romania, Slovenia, Croatian, Italy, Montenegro and the Czech Republic.

A great number of sommeliers from Serbia have announced their participation in this year's edition of the event, according to the website of the Tourist Organization of the Municipality of Vrsac.

Vrsac is a town with a rich winemaking tradition, and the first written document about wine from Vrsac dates back to 1494.

Today, the Vrsac wine region has about 2,000 hectares of vineyards and is the biggest wine region in this part of Europe.
