US tourists to open nautical season in Belgrade

BELGRADE - This year's nautical and tourism season in Belgrade will ceremonially open on Friday, March 20, when the ship River Aria sails into the international passenger terminal of the Port of Belgrade.

River Aria will sail into Belgrade early in the morning, with around 100 US tourists who will be staying in Belgrade as part of a 12-day tour named Eastern Europe to the Black Sea.

The tourists will be given a traditional welcome, with food prepared by students of the Tourism High School and a folk dance performance by the Talija Art Centre, the Tourist Organisation of Belgrade said in a statement.

The American tourists will then take a tour of the capital, with the results of a market research study titled "How we are perceived by foreigners coming to Belgrade on cruise ships", carried out in collaboration with the city information and statistical institute, to be presented afterwards.
