Basescu says he will take part in PMP regional convention on Saturday in Timisoara

Former chief of state Traian Basescu has announced he will take part in a regional convention of the People's Movement Party (PMP) scheduled for Saturday in Timisoara.

"PMP has a regional convention on Saturday where the party's organisations from Timis, Hunedoara, Caras-Severin and Arad will participate, and where I will also take part. That is a meeting designed primarily to generate a debate inside the party around main themes," Basescu said Thursday at the end of a meeting with PMP leaders at the party's main offices.
