Monument to Michael Jackson to be screened at four festivals

BELGRADE - The film Monument to Michael Jackson (Spomenik Majklu Dzeksonu), written and directed by Darko Lungulov, will be screened at four festivals - in Ireland, Prague, Switzerland and the United States - by the end of March.

It will be screened as part of an official selection of the Jameson Dublin International Film Festival in Ireland tomorrow, and on the same day and the next day, Sunday, March 22, it will be screened at the 22nd edition of the Fabiofest International Film Festival in Prague.

As previously announced, Mike Downey, one of the Monument to Michael Jackson producers, will recieve a special mention award for his contribution to European cinema.

The film will also be screened at the Fribourg International Film Festival in Switzerland on March 22 and at the Cleveland International Film Festival in the United States, as part of the George Gund III Memorial Central and Eastern European Film Competition, on March 26, 27 and 28.

Monument to Michael Jackson recently won the Jury prize for Best Eastern European Film at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival and the Special Mention Award for Best Screenplay at the Monte Carlo Comedy Film Festival.
