Successive attacks on ATMs in Athens suggest coordinated action

Unidentified arsonists targeted the ATMs of bank branches in various parts of greater Athens early Saturday in attacks that caused damage but no injuries.

The first attack was on an ATM in Kypseli, the second occurred a few minutes later in the suburb of Pefki, the third was in Zografou and the fourth in the suburb of Maroussi.

The attacks occurred within a few minutes of each other, suggesting that they may have been coordinated.

Another arson attack outside a supermarket in Kaisariani at around the same time destroyed a car.
