Carla Fracci opens 12th Belgrade Dance Festival

BELGRADE - The great lady of dance, Italian ballet dancer and actress Carla Fracci officially opened the 12th international Belgrade Dance Festival (BFI) in Center Sava in Belgrade.

Welcoming numerous visitors on Wednesday evening, Fracci underlined that this is her first visit to the region, and that she is sorry that she never performed in Belgrade.

I came here to support the Belgrade Dance Festival and young performers in whom I have invested my energy, the renowned ballet dancer said.

This year's BDF will be held from March 23 to April 9 in Belgrade, Novi Sad, Vrsac and Pancevo, and was heralded by the 'Days of Dance' event at the Yugoslav Film Archive, from January 28 to February 1.

The festival, known for its distinguished guests and top-class international productions, will feature 13 dance companies from 11 countries - Great Britain, Israel, Switzerland, Germany, USA, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Belgium, and France.
