New horizons opening for cooperation with Austria

BELGRADE - New horizons are opening for the economic cooperation between Serbia and Austria, Chairman of the Serbian Economic Senate Ivan Gros said Wednesday, noting that the best indicator was the Serbian prime minister's recent visit to Vienna.

Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic attended a business forum, organized by the Austrian Chamber of Commerce in Vienna, which brought together some 350 businessmen, including more than 50 from Serbia. The attendance was very high and the event attracted a lot of attention, which indicates that new opportunities are opening for economic cooperation between Serbia and Austria, Gros told Tanjug.

The Serbian Economic Senate intends to establish contacts with investors and bring them to Serbia, said Gros, adding that this will be achieved through cooperation with the Senates of economy of Germany and Austria, as well as other institutions and major companies.

The Senate also plans to bring together Serbia's most promising enterprises.

There are such companies in Serbia, particularly in the sectors of agriculture, renewable energy sources, recycling. We need companies that have the courage and knowledge to connect closely with other markets, he said.
