'The Army - a different kind of school' programme to take place between April 6-10

The Ministry of National Defence (MApN), in cooperation with the Ministry of National Education (MEN), is conducting between April 6-10 the programme 'The Army - a different kind of school', during which pupils from the entire country will become accustomed with military technique, specific practical activities, exhibitions and the educational offer of military education institutions.

"In Bucharest, pupils may participate, on the basis of volunteership, in the abovementioned period, in the activities organized by the servicemen of the 96th Military Engineers, 2nd 'Calugareni' Infantry, 495th 'Captain Stefan Soverth' Infantry, 265th Military Police, and 30th 'Michael the Brave' Guards battalions, as well as by the servicemen with the King Ferdinand I National Military Museum, the Dr. Carol Davila Central Military Emergency University Hospital, the 48th Communications and Strategic Informations Center", a release of the Ministry of National Defence remitted on Friday to AGERPRES informs.

Furthermore, the pupils may also participate in the activities organized by the Military Music Service, the 485th Communications and Informatics Center, the National Military Centre, the Military Technical Academy and the 90th Air Transport Base in Otopeni.

"The pupils at gymnasiums and high-schools will take part for a day in the usual training of servicemen, they will conduct practical activities, such as the discovery of metal objects with the aid of metal detectors, frontline training, and interactive games and will learn details about the technical capabilities and arms used by the servicemen", the release also shows.
