Mitrovica: Search for three suspects ongoing

KOSOVSKA MITROVICA - Three persons are suspected of having wounded two Serb men in their 20s in a shooting in northern Mitrovica and opened fire on a Kosovo police car, Besim Hoti, deputy regional commander of the Kosovo police, stated on Tuesday.

Hoti told Tanjug that there are three suspects in two separate incidents which took place in Serb-majority northern part of Kosovska Mitrovica, north Kosovo-Metohija, in the night between Sunday and Monday. On Monday, the police searched several sites in Zvecan, and the search for suspects is still ongoing, Hoti said.

Two young men of Serbian nationality, who suffered non-life threatening injuries in a shootout in front of a bar in Mitrovica north one hour after midnight on Sunday, have been taken care of at the Mitrovica Healthcare Center.

About an hour later, unknown attackers opened fire on a Kosovo police vehicle parked in front of the Healthcare Center.
