Police seize 20 tons of tobacco leaves
BELGRADE -- The Serbian police have confiscated about 20 tons of whole leaf tobacco in the town of Stara Pazova, northwest of the capital Belgrade.
The value of the seized goods in about EUR 100,000, the Interior Ministry (MUP) announced on Friday.
Three suspects, named with their initials and age as N.Z (35), M.M. (39) and B.A. (20), have been placed in 48 hour custody.
They are facing criminal charges for illegal manufacturing and storage of goods.
