Open Book Night campaign to be carried out simultaneously in Bucharest and Cluj-Napoca

The third edition of the Open Book Night campaign will be carried out on Thursday, on the occasion of the World Book Day, at the same time in Bucharest and Cluj-Napoca, the book lovers being invited to form chains around symbol-buildings in the two cities.

According to a press release remitted to AGERPRES by Litera Publishing House, each participant will hold a book. Thus, starting at 18,30, over 12,000 books expect book lovers at the Palace of Parliament in Bucharest and at the Babes-Bolyai University of Cluj-Napoca.

"Culture Minister Ionut Vulpescu will be present in Bucharest in the Open Book Night, to celebrate the World Book Day together with readers. The meeting point of the participants is on one side of the Palace of Parliament, near Izvor Park," the cited source points out.

The first two editions of the Open Book Night offered the participants an impressive show of the thousands of open books, which covered large spaces of the centre of Bucharest, waiting for their readers. Approximately 20,000 inhabitants of Bucharest participated in these shows, having received a Litera book as a gift and celebrating the World Book Day.

The event is organised by Litera publishing house and Ring newspaper, in partnership with Babes-Bolyai University and "Cartile pe fata" campaign. AGERPRES
