President Nikolic to visit Sarajevo early in June

BELGRADE - Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic will visit Sarajevo at the beginning of June, Ivan Mrkic, foreign affairs adviser to the Serbian president, has said.

Mrkic told Belgrade-based daily Danas that the visit to Sarajevo had had to wait until elections in Bosnia-Herzegovina (BiH) were finished.

The general elections in BiH were held on October 12, 2014, but it took the country five months to set up all governmental bodies.

Mrkic said that Nikolic could soon also pay an official visit to Croatia.

Mrkic said that Nikolic and Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic had already exchanged messages and it was now likely that she would extend an invitation to Nikolic to visit Zagreb very soon.
