'Today, on the International Labour Day, our thoughts go to those who, through their efforts help to building a modern, strong, respected Romania. Romania is a country of the working people, and the solution for an economy that would bring prosperity to all, a progressive economy is to support all of those who are working. As a country cannot develop if lacks a strong economy, just the same a strong economy cannot be built without observing the rights and dignity of those who are working,' the head of the Romanian Government says in his message.

He adds that these elements on the progressive economy have guided the policies enforced by the Government starting with May 2012, when the former Social Liberal Union (USL) has ousted the Mihai-Razvan Ungureanu government through a censure motion.
'I thank all of the Romanians who build, through their work, the Strong Romania!' Victor Ponta ends his May 1 message.AGERPRES
