Kim Kardashian was business-savvy long before she became famous

Kim Kardashian used to have own success on eBay.

Even though at 34 Kim is now running a veritable “empire” with the reality show “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” which recently got a 4 year extension for 100 million USD, combined with an app game bearing her name, a selfie book, and 31 followers on Instagram, things were not always thus.

Kardashian started working in sales since her teenage years. At 16 years of age, and while she worked at a shop selling fashion clothes, her father made her sign a contract declaring she would be responsible for everything, including any damages to the car. Once, during traffic, she rear-ended another car. During that time, her father was defending O.J. Simpson in his murder trial. When the owner of the car that Kim hit heard her name, she demanded a whole wag of money, which she had to pay off on her own. So Kim started working at various clothes shops to pay off her debt.

During that time, she discovered online shopping and sales. She bought 5 pairs of Manolo Blahnik shoes for 700 dollars and sold them for 2,500 USD a pair.

Now, Kim still uses eBay to sell of stuff she doesn’t need. Between the years of 2013-2014, Kim sold her old clothes and made 212,000 USD.
