Turkish ministry offers investment incentives to 90 tourism facilities

The Economy Ministry has given investment incentives to 90 touristic facility projects in the first quarter of the year. 

The 90 projects, 69 of which are new, benefited from the ministry's investment incentives in the January-March period, according to data compiled by the Touristic Hoteliers Association of the Mediterranean (AKTOB). 

The total budget for the investments was around 1.9 billion Turkish Liras, according to the data. 

The Mediterranean resort of Antalya took the lions share, with 11 projects worth around 484 million liras. Antalya was followed by Istanbul, Ayd?n, Konya, Trabzon, ?zmir, Mu?la, Nev?ehir and Ankara. 

Some 18,585 new beds will be added to the overall capacity through the new investments encouraged by incentives in taxes and social security payments and 4,249 new jobs will be created, according to the data.
