VS members to take part in exercise in Germany

BELGRADE -- An infantry unit of the 3rd Brigade of the VS Ground Forces will take part in the Joint Determination exercise in Germany.

It will be held from May 9 to June 4, organized by the United States European Command, the Serbian Defense Ministry said on Wednesday.

The multinational training centre Hohenfels, 100 members of 31st infantry battalion from Zajecar in eastern Serbia will practice procedures in attack and defence operations, combat in urban environments, evacuation of the wounded and driving Hummer SUVs.

The infantry unit of the Third Brigade headed by Captain Vladica Stankovic will be deployed in the multinational unit together with his colleagues from the Czech Republic and Croatia.
