Princess Margareta takes over as president of Romanian Red Cross Society

The General Assembly of the Romanian National Red Cross Society, convened on Friday in Brasov, elected Princess Margareta as president of the society.

Thank you so much for your trust and not just for that, because this decision closes a circle and heals a wound. You offered me the position my great-grandmother, Queen Maria has also held. Thank you, Mihaela Geoana, for all you have done in your two terms in office, and I hope I'll rise to the challenge. Trust my loyalty and my energy, and I'll do my utmost to be a good president and take the Red Cross further.
