Romanian Space Week to start in Bucharest

ROSA reports in a press release that the conference rounds up the efforts to promote and develop space activities in Romania and will comprise events aimed at bringing together the main space sector players.

Scientists, engineers, technical staff, political decision makers, suppliers and users of space technology and applications will be taking part, May 27-29, in the Romanian Space Week annual conference organised by the Romanian Space Agency (ROSA) under the aegis of the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research.

ROSA reports in a press release that the conference rounds up the efforts to promote and develop space activities in Romania and will comprise events aimed at bringing together the main space sector players.

The main event of the week will be the public unveiling of the latest developments in the C1-2012 and C2-2013 competitions of the STAR National Programme for Space Technology and Advanced Research, which aims to increase competitiveness of research and development entities in Romania for their successful participation in European Space Agency (ESA) programmes.

At the same time, the participants will be able to deliver technical speeches and take part in one-on-one meetings to exchange ideas and opinions concerning future projects and contributions.

The conference's venue is the Conference Hall of the Elie Carafoli National Air and Space Research and Development Institute. AGERPRES
