Suspect in car attack and death remanded

A 21-year-old man accused of ramming two men with his car, killing a 45-year-old man and injuring a 31-year-old, was remanded in custody on Thursday.

The incident, which took place in the western Athens district of Egaleo, western Athens, last Friday, sparked a vendetta between the two families, both members of the local Roma community.

There was tension outside the capital?s Evelpidon court complex on Thursday morning as relatives of the victims tried to approach the driver and were pushed back by police.
