MAE's Secretary of State Ciamba pays visit to Renault technical centre of Guyancourt
Romanian Foreign Ministry's (MAE) Secretary of State for European Affairs George Ciamba, together with his French counterpart Harlem Desir, on Thursday, on the occasion of his visit to Paris for consultations on bilateral topics and European affairs, paid a visit to the Renault technical centre (Technocentre Renault) of Guyancourt, near the French capital.
According to a MAE release remitted to AGERPRES on Friday, Technocentre Renault "is the first and the largest engineering centre of French car maker Renault, concentrating about 65 per cent of the specific activities of the group on a global level," and the visit led to a presentation of the centre's activity, mainly focused on the design activities.
"In the opinion exchanges conducted on this occasion the two officials evoked the activities of Renault-Dacia in Romania, the French side underscoring, among others, that the group operates in Romania the entire range of specific activities (car production, motor and gear box production, as well as research/technical support/design, through Renault Technologie Roumanie, with centres in Bucharest, Mioveni and Titu). Moreover, Romania is the only country, besides France, where the Renault Group carries out the entire range of activities," the cited documents shows.
According to MAE, the sides also highlighted the importance and dynamics of the exchanges on an expert level of the technical centres of the Renault Group of the two countries. AGERPRES
