Malia honors its regular visitors in special ceremony

The Malia beach resort in Heraklion, Crete, honored its most loyal visitors with special prizes. A ceremony held on Friday presented awards to 140 regulars who keep returning to the destination. Germans, Australians, Dutch and British tourists who keep coming back were given prizes.

“It is especially touching to see three generations – grandfathers, children and their grandchildren – that choose Malia for their family holidays,” said the deputy mayor for tourism and employment Efthymios Mountrakis, who presented the awards. He also thanked the prize recipients for their support at a time when Greece had great difficulties and called them “our best ambassadors abroad, who have a real intimate picture of the people you can convey.”
